What's New on This Site
Places to Play in Providence
Making Learning Visible and Ready to Learn Providence collaborated on a professional development and advocacy project with 8 inner city early childhood centers in Providence, Rhode Island. Over 100 three-five year-old children from across these centers contributed ideas and drawings depicting their favorite places to play in the city. A selection of their drawings and their statements about them were compiled in this guidebook that was given to the 2000 educators participating in NAEYC's annual Professional Development Institute. The book was presented at the opening reception on June 12, 2011 by Providence Mayor Angel Taveras. View the guidebook below:
