2005 AERA Symposium MLV and its teacher educator partners conducted an interactive symposium at the 2005 American Educational Research Association (Division K) in Montreal. This was an important opportunity to communicate with the teacher education community. The symposium, "Making Teaching Visible: Three Documentary Accounts of Teacher Educators as Individual and Group Learners," was a chance for participants to explore how the ideas in the MLV work--which grew out of the theory and practice of the Reggio Emilia preschools--could be applied in the American teacher education context. Along with MLV staff researchers, collaborating teacher educators presented their experiences and insights. During the symposium, attendees also worked with and responded to these ideas.
